Community Resilience Centers
Berkeley organizations working with underserved communities can apply to receive training and supplies to serve as community disaster hubs.
If you are a community organization in Berkeley, you can apply to become a Community Resilience Center (CRC).
Becoming a Community Resilience Center
We select CRC organizations based on their connection to Berkeley community members who have not been reached by existing City programs. If your organization is interested in becoming a CRC, review the process below and contact us at oes@berkeleyca.gov or (510) 981-3473.
CRC organizations agree to host trainings and participate in disaster preparedness events customized for their audiences. In return for hosting training, we provide a cache of emergency supplies to help organizations serve their community, acting as hubs for assistance and information during and after disasters.
