Live Oak Community Center Closure
Live Oak Playground Temporary Closure
The Live Oak Community Center Upgrade project began on November 4, 2019 with demolition of walls and foundations to prepare for new shear walls and foundation upgrades as well as new restroom layouts to meet ADA code. Additional demolition to prepare for various building upgrades will be continuing into the New Year. Great care has been taken during demolition to allow the contractor to reuse original siding elements. This first phase of the project is on schedule and it is possible will be completed sooner than planned. The entirety of the building, including the playground and grass area along Shattuck Avenue frontage, will remain closed as debris and dust is still prominent. Visit the T1 project update page to view pictures of construction at this site.
