Welcome to the Berkeley Waterfront at the City of Berkeley, CA. We are part of the Parks Recreation & Waterfront Department.

The Berkeley Marina is an urban retreat, boasting over 100 acres of park space, 7 miles of trails, picnic areas, a 17-acre off-leash dog area, bird-watching, educational programming at the Shorebird Park Nature Center, the nationally celebrated Adventure Playground, unparalleled panoramic views, and amenities for boaters and non-boaters alike.

Capital Projects - Big Things are Happening at the Berkeley Waterfront: - Transformative and impactful projects are in progress at the Berkeley Waterfront and more are on their way.  The University Avenue realignment and reconfiguration will improve the road that is the gateway to the Waterfront. Evaluations of the beloved Berkeley Pier are in progress, studying options that would allow this resource to be reopened to the public. A new public restroom, windsurfing area, and landscaped parking lot are under construction at the South Cove Sailing Basin. The San Francisco Bay Trail is being extended to the Adventure Playground.
