COVID-19: Grab & go meals for seniors

We are excited to announce the expansion of our Senior Center lunch program beginning Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

Grab & go meals

Five frozen, nutritious meals are available each week to Berkeley seniors who are 60 years of age or above. Meals are available for curbside pickup on Tuesdays, 11:30am-1:00pm, at the South Berkeley Senior Center, 2939 Ellis Street. A donation of $15 is suggested to cover the cost of weekly meals.

Program eligibility

The program is available to anyone living in Berkeley who is over 60 years old.

Register in advance

You must register in advance. If you are a first-time participant, you must provide valid identification showing your age and residency. We will also accept a piece of mail addressed to you, dated within the last thirty days, to verify your residency.

Remember to wear a face covering when picking up meals -- even if you do not get out of your car -- unless you are exempt from doing so for heath or other reasons.

Call our Aging Services Division at (510) 981-5170 or email seniors@cityofberkeley.info for more information or to register for the program.
