PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Donate masks, gloves, and other goods

We are accepting donations of personal protective equipment and other in-kind goods listed below. Items must be in sealed packages or unopened boxes. There is no minimum quantity.

  • N-95 masks (expired masks accepted)
  • Masks (isolation or surgical)
  • Gowns (isolation or surgical)
  • Gloves
  • Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer (all sizes)
  • Disinfectant wipes and sprays (bleach and peroxides)
  • Face shields
  • Shoe covers
  • Goggles/eye protection
  • Tyvek coveralls

We are also seeking:

  • touchless tympanic thermometers (new or used)
  • digital ear thermometers (new only)
  • digital ear thermometer probe covers (new only)
  • homemade cloth face masks
