PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Item 1. Call to Order - Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Commissioners Present: Alberti, Anderson, Chong, Evans (arrived 7:15), Hogarth, Payne, Spector (arrived 7:10), Walden. 

Commissioners Absent: Kavanagh

Item 2. Approval of the Agenda . Modification: Remove Closed Session Item 8 from agenda. M/S/C (Chong/Payne) TO APPROVE AS MODIFIED. Voice vote. Passed: 6-0-0-3. Absent: Evans, Kavanagh, Spector.

Item 3. Public Forum. There were no speakers.

Item 4. Approval of the August 16, 2004 regular meeting minutes. M/S/C (Payne/Hogarth) TO APPROVE WITH ONE REVISION: change the day from Thursday to "Monday," August 16, 2004. Voice vote. Passed: 5-0-1-3 Abstain: Anderson; Absent: Evans, Kavanagh, Spector.
