PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. 1. Roll call.

2. Approval of the agenda.

3. Public comment.

4. Approval of minutes of the July 12, 2011 meeting.

5. Discussion and possible action on:

a. Possible revision to Regulation 883.

b. Whether the Committee wishes to take up the issue of an ordinance requiring disclosure of local laws in residential property transactions. 

c. How information on registration and waiver requests is presented on Rent Board website.

d. Letter to selected small property owners inviting them to a Committee meeting to discuss their experience with the waiver process.

e. Feasibility of having staff review waiver discussions of RSB meetings, and provide feedback to the Committee.

f. Update on communications with current owners regarding level of involvement in RSB small claims lawsuits against predecessor owners who are financial institutions.

g. “Guide to Fees and Penalties” for Commissioners to be distributed for use at next RSB meeting.

6. Set next meeting date, if needed, and put items on agenda for that meeting.

7. Adjournment.
