5. Election of Committee Chair.

6. Reports from staff, and discussion and possible action on:

a. Statistics for 2011-2012:  number of administrative, ministerial and discretionary waiver requests filed since July 1; disposition of discretionary waiver requests; and number of discretionary waivers still pending.

b. Small claims cases filed against owners of properties recently sold or about to be sold.

c. Disposition of older cases in which the RSB held new owners liable for part of the penalties while seeking penalties from former owners in small claims court, and staff’s communications with the new owners.

d. Status of Waiver #4080 from January meeting.

e. What a penalty bill looks like.

7. Discussion and possible action on :

a. Better ways to deal with owners who frequently register late.

b. Property’s placement on the soft-story list as a criterion to use for discretionary reviews of waiver requests.

c. Committee’s interest in reviewing waiver requests, staff summaries and recommendations before they are put on Board agenda for April 2, 2012 meeting.

d. Committee’s interest in reviewing staff correspondence to owners, where the Board gave specific instructions to staff when considering a waiver.

e. Revising Recommendation on Requested Waiver of Registration Penalties form to reflect history by owner (current history is by property)

8. Set next meeting date and place items on agenda for that meeting

9. Adjournment.
