Join us to watch some of your favorite movies under the stars! Enjoy all the fun of a drive-in movie at one of your beautiful local parks. A large portable 20’ x 12’ inflatable movie screen and premium audio visual movie equipment for outdoor cinemas make Movies in the Park a spectacular event. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the movie begins.  Bring blankets, sleeping bags and/or low-back beach chairs with a maximum height of nine inches off the ground, so the view of other patrons is not blocked. A flashlight or headlamp makes walking out at the end of the night easier. Limited street parking is available.

Join us for the continuation of our Music in the Park series with our family friendly Community Concerts! Each event is filled with kids' activities, food, music, and entertainment. We will showcase local artists performing live with big band orchestra, blues, hip hop, and spoken word; culminating with our annual Harvest Festival on October 5.  Come early and bring your blankets and low back chairs to enjoy music on the lawn at these beautiful parks.

Sat. Jul 27 "Big Band": Morchestra - A 17-piece band lead by Tony Corman to lay down some swing, funk, and Brazilian grooves
Sat. Aug 10 "Saturday Blues Fest": KP Project Ft. Willie G; Tamsen Donner Band; and Ladies Sing the Blues with Rhonda Benin, Tia Carroll, Terri Odabi, Marina Crouse, and Rebecca Grimes  
Sat. Sep 21 "Hip Hop / Back to School": Nef the Pharaoh, LOE Gino, and C5. Spoken word by Flax from Youth Speaks, graffiti art and much more! This event is dedicated to the teens and will also include a hip hop dance battle!
Sat. Oct 5 "Harvest Festival": Get Lucky, Motor Dude Zydeco, Levi Seacer, and Smash City Band. Our annual Harvest Festival also features a Food Expo, Garden Expo, Community Resources, food contests and demos, and a Kids' Zone with face painting, bounce house, balloon art, pumpkin & scarecrow making, and much more!

Olympics Day 2019

Join City of Berkeley staff for a day of fun, fitness, and friendship. After the opening ceremony and Parade of Nations, youth will participate in various Olympic-style sports and events, such as sprints, relays, steeple chase, soccer, basketball, and much, much more!

 Stop the Violence Block Party - National Night Out | All Ages | Free

National Night Out 2019

Tuesday, Aug 6 | 3:00pm - 7:00pm | McGee Ave. (between Oregon & Stuart Streets)

This community event is designed to promote and encourage South Berkeley residents to come together as a supportive community to focus on youth and families in the neighborhood. It allows Berkeley teens to address their concerns about violence through dance, music, and public performance. The event will feature live entertainment, information booths, jumpers, face painting and food. This event is presented in partnership with McGee Ave. Baptist Church.
