The City of Berkeley Health Officer has ordered all residents to shelter at home, leaving only to receive or provide essential services, starting 12:01 am on Tuesday, March 17. PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Storm Water Drainage

  • Shattuck/Oregon Drainage Improvements - Replaced storm drain on Oregon between Adeline and Shattuck.
  • Russell/Shattuck Drainage Improvements - Replaced storm cross drains at Russell/Shattuck intersection.
  • Lincoln/Shattuck Sinkhole Repair -  Investigated sinkhole. Found and filled abandoned pipe and restored street.
  • Mabel/Carrison, Mabel/Haskell, Mabel/67th, and Mabel/66th Valley Gutters - In coordination with street paving, removed inadequate cross drains, installed new valley gutters and re-graded street.
  • Derby Street - Repaired storm drain on Derby Street from Shattuck to Ellsworth.
  • Keith/Euclid Storm Drain Repair - Repaired damaged storm drain on Euclid between Cragmont and Keith. Repaired curb and roadway.
