$50K REWARD OFFERED FOR INFORMATION ABOUT SUSPECTS IN ADOLFO CELEDÓN’S MURDER

Berkeley, California (Saturday, September 12, 2020) - Today marks the tenth anniversary of the murder of Adolfo Ignacio Celedón Bravo, known to his family as “Fito.”  Celedón was a Chilean native who moved to Berkeley to be with his fiancé.  His life was taken when he was murdered on his 35th birthday.

On the morning of September 12, 2010 at approximately 3:41 am, Celedón was walking home with his fiancé after they attended a party.  At the intersection of Adeline and Emerson Streets, the couple was confronted by two male suspects who were intent on robbing them.  During the robbery, Celedón was shot and his fiancé was punched in the face before the suspects fled in what was described as a “dark older model SUV” (Sport Utility Vehicle.)

There is a $50,000 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for Celedón’s murder.

Detectives remain hopeful that a member of the community will come forward with information. Even the smallest detail could prove critical in solving this case.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the BPD’s Homicide Unit at (510) 981-5741 or the 24 hour BPD Non-Emergency number of (510) 981-5900.
