Crime Prevention Resources

The Berkeley Police Department offers Crime Prevention information and presentations by appointment through its Operations Divison - Area Coordinator Unit. Area Coordinators or other members of BPD offer City of Berkeley community members and business owners resources on many subjects including Personal Safety, Burglary Prevention, Senior Safety, Robbery Prevention, Domestic Violence, Stalking, Vacation Security, Identity Theft and much more.

Safety Presentations - by appointment and as workload permits, Area Coordinator team members will also work with you to do presentations on personal, home or business safety and ways to deter or prevent crime in our community.

Team members can also come to your home or business and conduct a free security assessment using the concepts of
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). The team member can provide feedback and recommendations on deterring and reducing the likelihood of becoming a victim of burglary. Please call (510) 981-5806.
