The online Request for Service submittal process for tenant inspection requests has changed and is now included on the City of Berkeley’s Online Service Center.

If you are a tenant and would like to submit a request for an inspection of your residential rental unit, please proceed to the Online Service Center HERE.  If you do not already have a login you will be prompted to create one.

ACA - Create a Tenant Inspection Request (3)

Once you have logged in select the Housing tab from the menu and click Create a Tenant Inspection Request. On the first page are details of the online application and the General Disclaimer, which you should review before continuing to the inspection request.

ACA - General Disclaimer

Enter the property address, tenant information, and property owner/responsible party (if available) information. Select any concerns that apply to your request, and add any additional information that you would like your inspector to know prior to the inspection.

Proceed to the Review screen and make sure all the information associated with your request is correct and complete. Once submitted you will be given a reference number starting with the letters RFS. This number can be used to check the status of your submission.

Please allow 24-48 hours for processing of your request.  Once your request has been processed an inspector will contact you regarding scheduling an inspection.
