Mission

The City of Berkeley Therapeutic Recreation Program provides support for community members of all abilities to actively participate in quality recreation programs. We offer Inclusive Services, which support youth with special needs, ages 5-12 (in summer) and grades K-5 (in school year) at James Kenney Community Center. Youth have the opportunity to enhance social, physical and behavioral skills in groups with their same-aged peers, while participating in fun and exciting daily activities.

In order to best serve our program participants, an intake is required prior to participation in the program. For more information regarding the Therapeutic Recreation Program or to schedule an intake, please call 981-6656.
