PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Summer Lunch Program

The California Department of Education Summer Food Program provides free meals to youth, ages 18 and under, at seven locations in the City of Berkeley.

Children who are 18 years old or younger are invited to eat free in Berkeley. The City of Berkeley, in collaboration with the State of California Department of Education, will offer free summer lunches and snacks to all Berkeley children at locations across the City. Dates, times and locations are listed below.

James Kenney Community Center, 1720 8th St.
Lunch Served 11:30am - 12:30pm

Meals will be served on the basketball courts

West Campus Pool, 2100 Browning St.
