Special Events and Community Meetings

Community-All Crew Day at the Berkeley Waterfront: Friday, October 7 2016 from 10:00am-3:00pm  

Come meet members of your community along with your City of Berkeley Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront team as we work side by side to beautify the Berkeley Waterfront. Together, we will be painting, raking, weeding, sifting the sandbox, and beautifying our pathways and shoreline. Everyone who volunteers may receive a catered lunch from 12pm-1pm.  Kids and toddlers can their photos taken on the tractor and will receive a will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for joining the fun.

Community-All Crew Day at the Berkeley Waterfront is a part of a broader initiative by the City of Berkeley Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department in which City staff partner with community volunteers and focus on a particular park. This creates visible and impactful change. Community All Crew Days have tremendous influence on the maintenance and aesthetics of Berkeley's City parks. Park by park and day by day our City team and members of the community are making a positive difference through this fun collaboration. Efforts through Community All-Crew Days help the City achieve one its goals of making life better through well-maintained parks and recreational facilities. 

The Berkeley Waterfront boasts panoramic views of the Bay, the San Francisco Skyline, the Bay Bridge, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Mount Tamalpais.  It has over 7 miles of trails, two playgrounds, over 100 acres of open space, and Shorebird Park Beach. Groups and individuals, kids and adults can all contribute. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. Come for an hour or stay for the day. Bring your family and your friends and join the City of Berkeley team for Community All-Crew Day at the Berkley Waterfront.
