PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

To join our community, you'll need to gather the following: 

 

  • Completed Berth Permit Application (Download here)
  • Valid Photo ID (Drivers License, State ID, Passport)
  • Proof of Current Registration or Coast Guard Documentation
  • Proof of Residence 

 

    Must submit one from each of the 3 groups listed on the back of the application. All proofs must be current originals (issued within the last 2 months) imprinted with the name and current residential address of the applicant/owner of the vessel. Documents cannot be registered to a PO Box
     
  • Insurance, complete with the following coverage and endorsements: 
  1. Minimum 300,000 Watercraft Liability or Protection and Indemnity (P&I) 
  2. Fuel Spill Liability 
  3. Wreckage Removal 
  4. City of Berkeley listed as additional insured
  5.
