Adventure Playground "Drop-in" Information

Children seven years and older may stay (drop in) in the playground without their parents for up to three hours by filling out a registration form and paying a fee.

How does this work?

  •  A Drop- In Registration Form must be on file (school year 2019-20 valid 8/24/19 thru 6/14/20).
  • The fee is $10 per child payable in the Nature Center (open Tuesday - Saturday).  We can accept exact cash or checks made out to the City of Berkeley only.
  • You can also purchase a Playment Card which allows you to pay in advance for multiple days and Sundays, when the Nature Center is closed.
  • Once you pay, bring your receipt or Playment Card to the playground for admission for your "drop in" and check in with staff.
  • Parents must check with staff to sign their children in and out each day.

Pick up time is no later than 1/2 hour before we close*. No "drop ins" on Sundays unless you use your playment card.

What if my child wants to be  a "drop in" with a friend?

Have their parents download the form, fill out the registration and the waiver, and bring it with you when you come. Pay the fee in the Nature Center Tuesday- Saturday, and bring the receipt to the playground. No waiver, no "drop in". Everyone fills out a new form for the summer  regardless if you filled one out for the school year.
