PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Ad-Hoc Subcommittee on Small Business

Composition:

On February 27, 2018, the Berkeley City Council established an Ad-Hoc Subcommittee on Small Business. The scope of the Subcommittee is limited to examining the Office of Economic Development's work plan on small business development and exploring the feasibility of creating a new Fair Representation Ordinance commission for small businesses. The Subcommittee is comprised of Mayor Jesse Arreguin (Subcommittee Chair), Councilmember Lori Droste, Councilmember Kate Harrison and Councilmember Linda Maio. The Subcommittee will report back to the City Council in September 2018.
