COVID-19: Berkeley Skate Park
When necessary, the Skate Park may be closed due to poor air quality.
The Berkeley Skate Park is open with updated hours of operation and new safety procedures.
Hours of operation
The Berkeley Skate Park, located at Harrison Park (711 Harrison St.), is open from 12:00pm-8:00pm Monday-Friday, and 8:00am-8:00pm Saturday-Sunday, to skateboarders of all ages.
COVID-19 safety procedures
Help keep the Berkeley Skate Park safe as we navigate through COVID-19 by observing the following procedures.
Staff will be controlling the entrance to the park. Only a limited number of skaters will be allowed in the park at a time to allow for social distancing.
Users can pre-register for skate times online (limit one 1-hour registration per skater per day). All other available slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Please observe the recommended social distancing of 6 feet while in the park. If you are waiting to drop-in, please start your run at one of the 6 designated areas that are marked throughout the park. If someone is waiting in a place where you would like to start your run from, please allow the person in front to go before you start your run while maintaining a social distance of 6 feet.
Please observe and follow the direction of traffic that is detailed on the map. When skating the bowl, please do not finish your run at the drop-in point.
Masks are required while skating and must be worn while waiting in line or outside the park.
All skaters must follow rules and directions from staff, or they will be asked to leave.
