On September 29, 2010, "AB 354", a new law changing California immunization requirements for students entering 7th-12th grades in public and private schools was passed. The law requires:

  • All students entering into 7th grade will need proof of a "Tdap" shot to start school.

clip_image009.jpgContact your health care provider to find out if your child needs the "Tdap" booster shot to meet this requirement.  If you do not have a regular provider, the vaccine is offered through the Immunization Program at the Ann Chandler Public Health Center.

In addition to providing recommended immunizations for children and selected immunizations for adults, this program offers information about other immunization and vaccination programs available to the community.
