The City of Berkeley web site is undergoing scheduled maintenance starting on Friday night, September 13 and ending on Saturday afternoon, September 14. During this time, most web pages should be available, but some resources may become unavailable for short periods of time.

PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

All City buildings, including Senior Centers, are closed to the public. All events and programs have been canceled, including all programming and pickup lunch service at Senior Centers.

The Tri-City Cafés offer casual, reasonably-priced dining exclusively for the older adult.  Café meals are tasty and nutritious. Each meal is low in fat and salt and has at least one vitamin C-rich course, and three meals a week include a vitamin A-rich course. Café meals are available to those that are 60 years or older or the spouse of a person aged 60 years or over who they are accompanying to the café.

Program participation is not limited with regard to race, color, national origin, gender, or handicap.  The meals are provided with Title III Older Americans Act Funds, administered through the Alameda County Area Agency on Aging.
