             The packet for this (and future) Design Review Committee meeting is available for review at the Berkeley
             Library main branch at 2090 Kittredge Street, or online on the Design Review Committee page under
             Boards and Commissions.

             To request a meeting agenda in large print, Braille, or on cassette, or to request a sign interpreter for the
             meeting, call the city clerk's office at 981-6900 (voice) or 981-6903 (ttd): at least five (5) working days prior
             to the meeting in order to ensure availability.

             The time limit within which to commence any lawsuit or legal challenge related to the applications is
             governed by section 1094.6 of the code of civil procedure, unless a shorter limitations period is specified by
             any other provision. Under section 1094.6, any lawsuit or legal challenge to any quasi-adjudicative decision
             made by the city must be filed no later than the 90th day following the date on which such decision becomes
             final. Any lawsuit or legal challenge, which is not filed within that 90-day period, will be barred.

            the City’s electronic records, which are accessible through the City’s website.  Please note: e-mail

I.                   ROLL CALL


                   The applicant and or their designee will have 5 to 10 minutes to make a presentation of their project to the  
                   Committee. The public is also invited to make a public comment if they wish. To do so, you should fill out a
                   speaker card before the meeting starts and give it to the Secretary of the Committee. Please be advised that
                   the Committee may limit the number of speakers and the length of time allowed to each speaker (3 minutes
                   is the usual amount of time allowed). The public is also encouraged to submit their comments and or

                  Due to the large volume of projects, and the limited amount of time available to hear each project, the
                  Design Review Committee has the right to re-arrange the order of the agenda in order to accommodate the
                  projects that will not require a lot of time.

 The next Design Review Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010.

IV.             PROJECTS

  1. 2598-2600 SHATTUCK AVENUE [at Parker] (DR#08-30000090): Continued
    Preliminary Design Review
    of a mixed-use development comprised of 2 5-story buildings and one
    3-story building, totaling 155 dwelling units, 31 affordable units, 23,354 sq. ft. of net ground floor
    commercial space, and 180 parking spaces; one building to incorporate existing one-story retail
    building at 2600 Shattuck; second building to be built on parking lot at 2598 Shattuck. 

          Note:  The items below (wireless communications facilities) will not start before 8:00 pm.

    2.  1608 FOURTH STREET [at Cedar Street] (DR#09-30000088): Preliminary
          Design Review
of the installation of a wireless communications facility (clearwire), including the 
          installation of 1 equipment cabinet, 2 internet services exchange points, and 3 panel antennas.

    3.   2300 FOURTH STREET [at Bancroft Way] (DR#09-30000080): Preliminary
          Design Review
of the installation of a wireless communications facility (T-Mobile),
          consisting of six panel antennas (three proposed and three future) and one GPS
          antenna to be mounted within proposed RF-friendly chimney; four equipment cabinets
         (two proposed and two future) and one power protection cabinet to be mounted inside
         an existing utility room within the warehouse at ground level.

     4.   2721 SHATTUCK AVENUE[at Ward Street] (DR#09-30000090): Preliminary
           Design Review
of the co-location and installation of a wireless communications
           facility (T-Mobile), consisting of eight panel antennas and four cabinets mounted 
           at the existing building roof, and antenna coaxial transmission lines from the cabinet
           to the antennas. Power and telephone service are to be provided from existing sources.
