West Berkeley Project Stakeholder Discussion

1. Roll Call
2. Public Comment. The Commission will conduct a ½ hour public comment period before the stakeholder discussion for subjects not included on the agenda and for persons unable to stay until the second public comment period. The Chair may limit speaker time.
3. Planning Staff Report:  In addition to the items below, additional matters may be reported at the meeting.
4. Chairperson’s Report:  Report by Planning Commission Chair.
5. Future Agenda Items and Other Planning-Related Events.

6. Proposed Uses and Definitions:  A discussion about proposed uses and definitions (and modifications to existing uses and definitions) for West Berkeley zoning districts.

c)  PC follow up Q & A with Stakeholder Groups (20 minutes)

7. Master Use Permit: A discussion about the proposed changes to the Master Use Permit Chapter of the Zoning Ordinance.

This meeting will have a special format to facilitate the West Berkeley Project stakeholder discussion. Stakeholder groups will choose representatives to present information regarding the components of the West Berkeley Project outlined above. Planning Commissioners will discuss the topics with stakeholder groups after stakeholder presentations.

Public Testimony Guidelines
Speakers are customarily allotted up to three minutes each.  The Commission Chair may limit the number of speakers and the length of time allowed to each speaker to ensure adequate time for all items on the Agenda.  To speak during Public Comment or during a Public Hearing, please submit a speaker card to the Secretary by 7:15 p.m., or at the Planning Department zoning counter by 5:00 p.m. (2120 Milvia Street).  Speakers are encouraged to submit comments in writing.  See “Procedures for correspondence to the Commissioners” below.
