Fall 2021 Program Registration

For information regarding our Fall 2021 Programs, please check out our 2021 Fall Program Guide (Click Here).  All programs will be offered in compliance with City of Berkeley Public Health, and plans may be modified in order to stay in compliance with public health guidelines.

The City offers 50% and 100% scholarships, based on HUD income guidelines, for many programs.  If you are interested in applying for a scholarship in order to participate in our 2021 Fall Programs, please read the Scholarship Application (click here for Scholarship Application) in its entirety and send the completed form and supplemental information to  Spaces are filled on a first come, first served basis.  

Other Ways to Register 

In-Person Drop Off: Customer Service Hub is closed to in-person registration. Registration may be dropped off in our drop box which is to the left of the front door. Complete a Registration Form*  and drop registration form and a check at the Recreation Customer Service Hub located at 1720 8th Street, Berkeley, CA 94710.  

Mail-In: Complete a Registration Form* and mail it with a check/ Money Order payable to the CITY OF BERKELEY, to the Recreation Customer Service Hub,1720 8th Street, Berkeley, CA 94710.

  *When submitting a registration form, be sure that it is filled out completely and clearly. All forms must include a signature and initial to acknowledge the refund policy.

  **Registration is ongoing and open until filled. The City reserves the right to cancel classes with enrollments under minimum requirement. Register ASAP to ensure enrollment in the program.


Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be directed to the Recreation & Youth Services Manager, Recreation Division, 1720 8th Street, Berkeley, CA 94710 or email The  original receipt must be submitted with a written request for a refund. The request must state the reason for the refund, and the date, time and location of the program. The Recreation and Youth Services Manager will render a decision to either: 1) refund the fee; 2) pro-rate the fee; 3) apply the fees to another session or program; or 4) deny the request.   

A. Recreation and Marina Program & Services: No refunds or credit will be granted without 7 days notice prior to start of class or date of reservation. The City will deduct 25% of the amount paid from the refund to cover administration expenses or will add a minimum $10.00 service charge (whichever is greater).  

B. Camp Programs: No refunds will be provided if cancellation is made less than 30 days before camp arrival date. A refund will be provided if the entire reservation is cancelled not less than 30 calendar days prior to arrival date, less a 25% administration fee not to exceed $150.
