CIVIC ARTS GRANTS
Applications for the Civic Arts Individual, Organization and Festival Grants closed on Thursday, January 16, 2020. These grants will fund activities occurring July 1, 2020 — June 30, 2021. For more information and grant guidelines, visit the Civic Arts Grants Page.

DOWNTOWN BERKELEY PLAZA
Coming soon to the downtown BART plaza is a new sound installation called, Speak Out — Berkeley Sonic Prayer Flags © 2020 by composer James McKee and the Kitchen Sisters, which is a multichannel site specific sound installation created for the Berkeley BART Plaza.

INSTALLATION IN THE CUBE SPACE
OPPOSITE DAY, by Sofie Ramos, is a site-specific installation created for the Cube Space, which is located on the ground floor of the Center Street Garage on Addison Street near Milvia St. in the heart of the arts district in Downtown Berkeley. This exhibition was organized by the City of Berkeley’s Civic Arts Program and will be on view 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from December 14, 2019 through April, 2020.

SAN PABLO PARK PUBLIC ART PROJECT
The Berkeley Civic Arts Program is commissioning public artwork for San Pablo Park to be completed in conjunction with the Parks renovations.

CIVIC CENTER ART EXHIBITION 
Each year the City of Berkeley celebrates the richness of artistic production within the Berkeley
community with the Civic Center Art Exhibition. This year 31 Berkeley-based artists were selected
through a juried process for exhibition in the Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Building.

NORTH BERKELEY SENIOR CENTER PUBLIC ART PROJECT 
The Berkeley Civic Arts Program is commissioning public artwork for entrance to the North Berkeley Senior Center to be completed in conjunction with the center’s renovations.
