AGENDA

2. Approval of Agenda

3. Public Forum

4. Approval of March 19, 2007 regular meeting minutes.

5. Appeal Time Certain - 7:15 p.m.

Appeal T-4583/T-4698 - 3028 Deakin Street, #3. (Continued from March 19, 2007 meeting). This is a tenant's appeal of the amount of the rent reductions granted by the hearing examiner. On appeal, the tenant seeks rent reductions for two items for which reductions were denied and for greater reductions on several items for which reductions were granted. Reductions were properly denied on items where the tenant's use of the rental unit was not significantly impaired or her health and safety jeopardized. In addition, no compelling grounds have been provided for increasing the amount of the rent reductions that were granted. For these reasons, staff recommends that the decision of the hearing examiner be affirmed.
