PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

This commission will only meet if the Director of Emergency Services determines there is time-sensitive, legally-mandated business to complete. Information regarding upcoming meetings will be posted on this page and on the community calendar.

Mission:
Provides for community participation in setting Police Department policies, practices, and procedures.  Provides a means for investigation of complaints against the Police Department.  All terms shall be for two years, ending November 30th of even-numbered years.  No limit to number of terms served.  No officer or employee of the City shall be appointed to the Commission.
