PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Successor Agency to the Berkeley Redevelopment Agency

Upon dissolution of the Berkeley Redevelopment Agency on February 1, 2012 pursuant to AB X1 26, the Successor Agency to the Berkeley Redevelopment Agency was constituted and is governed by the members of the City Council.  On January 17, 2012, the City of Berkeley also elected to become the Successor Housing Agency to manage housing assets of the Berkeley Redevelopment Agency.  Minutes and other records of the former Berkeley Redevelopment Agency may be requested by contacting the City Clerk Department at (510) 981-6900 or clerk@cityofberkeley.info.
