PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Input will be used to inform funding priorities

Berkeley, California (Thursday, April 22, 2021) - Come give input at a Public Hearing about federally funded services and housing programs, part of an annual effort to understand the needs of the community and inform the type of services needed to serve low-income people in Berkeley.

This hearing will inform how the City uses approximately $3.7 million of federal funds over the coming year. Proposed programs included homeless services, housing services and development, and housing and facility rehabilitation.

We’ll use the feedback we receive to help prioritize the types of federally funded services and housing needed to meet community need. Comments will be included in the Annual Action Plan for funding from the federal department of Housing and Urban Development.

These funds are administered by the City's Department of Health Housing and Community Services.
