Berkeley, California (Monday, February 03, 2020) - After several recent bank robberies in the City of Berkeley, the Berkeley Police Department identified Bryan Keith Richardson (Male, 59 years old, Oakland, CA) as the suspect responsible for three of those robberies:

  • 1/14       Mechanics Bank (2301 Shattuck Avenue)              2020-00002500
  • 1/22       Mechanics Bank (1801 Solano Avenue)                  2020-00003957
  • 1/27       Wells Fargo Bank (1800 Solano Avenue)                2020-00005119

In addition to robbing banks in Berkeley, Richardson is also suspected of robbing several other banks throughout the Bay Area.

On January 30th, members of the Berkeley Police Department located Bryan Richardson in the City of Oakland and arrested him on suspicion of robbery.

Today, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged Bryan Richardson with multiple counts of robbery as well as several criminal enhancements.

The Berkeley Police Department takes great pride in keeping our community safe.  We appreciate the public’s support and are pleased that we were able to bring justice to those who wish to do harm to our community.
