THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED AFTER 62ND STREET SHOOTING, ONE STILL AT-LARGE

Berkeley, California (Thursday, May 30, 2019) - After the May 1st shooting on the 1600 block of 62nd Street, investigators identified four suspects who participated in the shooting. On May 15th, detectives arrested one of the suspects—Deandre Ivan Bess (Male, 23 years old, Oakland, CA) in Oakland, CA.  On May 23rd,members of the Berkeley Police Department arrested two other suspects in Oakland, CA—Justin Lofton (Male, 22 years old, Oakland, CA) and Isabella Saturn (Female, 21 years old, Oakland, CA).

The fourth suspect—Jamel Wilcox (Male, 20 years old, Oakland, CA) remains at-large and is considered armed and dangerous.

If you see Jamel Wilcox, immediately notify the nearest police agency.  Ifyou have information about Jamel Wilcox’s whereabouts, please contact BPD’s Homicide Unit at 510-981-5741.

On May 28th, the Alameda County District Attorney’s charged three of the suspects with attempted murder and charged Deandre Bess with being an accessory to attempted murder.
