YouthWorks Jobs Often Serve as Stepping-stones for College, Careers

Berkeley, California (Friday, March 01, 2019) - Berkeleyans between 14 and 25 years of age can apply to be part of YouthWorks, which allows youth to get valuable work experience while getting paid.

YouthWorks places local youth in summer jobs that last up to 7 weeks, for up to 30 hours per week, earning $13.25 per hour ($14.50 effective July 1, 2019). Youth can work in office administration, government, tobacco prevention, youth development, and more with jobs starting in early July!

Valuable work experience can play an important role for young people's professional, financial, social and emotional well-being. Over the years, thousands of Berkeley youth have used YouthWorks as a stepping stone for career- and college-preparation. Applications are due Friday, March 29, 2019.

Submit completed applications to the YouthWorks office.  Youth must be at least 14 years of age at the time of application and need to come in person to the YouthWorks office to pick up an application.  The YouthWorks office is located on the 2nd floor of 2180 Milvia St.
