Complete a short survey to share information on your travel needs

Berkeley, California (Tuesday, January 08, 2019) - The City of Berkeley is developing its first Electric Vehicle (EV) Roadmap. Please help by taking a brief survey on how we can best support clean transportation options in our community.

Berkeley is committed to ensuring that cleaner modes of transportation become equally available to residents of all ages, races, income levels and geographic locations. Your feedback will help us understand and prioritize your travel and mobility needs.

Use the City of Berkeley’s online forum, Berkeley Considers, to weigh in on how to make electric vehicle options (including electric bikes, scooters, buses, and car sharing) available to everyone in Berkeley. The survey will be open until January 31, 2019.

The survey results will help us develop the City of Berkeley’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Roadmap. We hope the EV Roadmap will increase equitable access to EVs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with transportation.

Transportation currently accounts for 60% of Berkeley’s greenhouse gas emissions. Walking, biking, riding public transit, and using electric vehicles (powered by carbon-free electricity) must be made attractive and available to everyone to meet our climate goals.

This work supports three of the City’s Strategic Plan goals: being a global leader in addressing climate change, demonstrating social and racial equity and providing state-of-the-art, well-maintained infrastructure.

Thank you for sharing your input. Your experiences and ideas will be used to develop goals, actions, and recommendations for the Berkeley EV Roadmap.
