Celebrate winter with real snow, a lighted boat parade, and fireworks

Berkeley, California (Thursday, December 06, 2018) - Come celebrate Winter with us at the Berkeley waterfront on Saturday with activities for all ages including a chance to play in real snow, a lighted boat parade, visits with Santa, and a fireworks display over the Bay.

This year’s Winter Carnival will have plenty of children's activities like face painting, carnival games with prizes, a tot play area to keep the little ones entertained.

Winter on the Waterfront 2018 flyerDecorate cookies or enjoy a cup of free hot cocoa while listening to holiday music and enjoying some of the best views around. Santa Claus will be at the event to visit with families and maybe even pose for a selfie or two!

Boats dressed up in holiday lights will sail, motor, or paddle in a loop just outside the harbor at 5:30 as part of our now-annual Lighted Boat Parade. Great viewing of the boat parade and small-scale fireworks display is available along Seawall Drive.

The Event is sponsored the Berkeley Yacht Club, Berkeley Marine Center, Doubletree Hotel, Skates on the Bay, Alpha Design, and Hana Japan Restaurant. This event promises to be a lively and festive way to spend a winter day.
