SEEKING COMMUNITY AGENCY PROPOSALS FOR LOW-INCOME SERVICES
Information session on November 26. Apply by Jan. 4

Berkeley, California (Tuesday, November 20, 2018) - The City of Berkeley is seeking proposals from nonprofits and government entities that provide services to low-income Berkeley residents.

This request for proposal, known as an RFP, is for programs and services that support low-income people in Berkeley over four years, from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2023.

For fiscal year 2019, approximately $8 million will be made available to fund a variety of programs including homeless services, childcare, youth programs, housing development, housing rehabilitation, health services, disability programs, employment training, senior services, legal assistance, and advocacy as well as others.

"The funding of our community agencies is a key vehicle for the City to create a healthier, more resilient and inclusive Berkeley," says Dee Williams-Ridley.  "We look forward to partnering with community based organizations to provide critical services to Berkeley residents".

Interested applicants can review application materials on our website and should complete the on-line application  by January 4, 2019 by 5 pm. Nonprofits that want to learn more about eligibility, priority areas, and the application process, should attend the following informational workshop.

Information Workshop
