Berkeley, California (Tuesday, January 30, 2018) - Find classes, activities and events for adults, kids and families in the Winter & Spring Activity Guide, which lists affordable, fun and engaging recreation programs throughout the City. 

There is something for everyone, whether it's swimming laps at the pool, breaking a sweat during one of our fitness classes, learning how to skateboard, or video game coding and design.Activity Guide

Most of the programs and activities take place at the City's sports fields, tennis courts, Community Centers, Aquatics Facilities and at our Skate Park.

For children 0-5 year olds, the City offers a variety of infant, tot and pre-K programs, including our free Together Wee Play drop-in program, our popular Challenger and Super Soccer Stars classes, and our all new Zumbini Class, where you and your child can sing, dance, play and create a music!

There is no shortage of programs for elementary aged children here in Berkeley.  From afterschool programs to tennis lessons to youth sports leagues, we have everything you need to keep your child active.  If you're looking for more specialized instruction, we offer a variety of options from drawing, to chess, to our Techsplosion Minecraft Stop Motion Animation Class.  Want to keep your children busy during Spring Break?  You've come to the right place. Your child can learn how to sew a pillow, improve their basketball skills, train for a Kids Triathlon, or become a YouTube star!

Our Teen programs offer a fun and safe environment for social and recreational activities like cooking, dancing, sports, leadership classes, creative writing workshops and even a trip up to the snow!

In order to support adult needs for physical activity and wellness, we provide a variety of adult classes and activities, including fitness classes like Zumba and Yoga, Martial Arts like Kendo and Aikido, and variety of swim programs and tennis lessons.  This winter, we are excited to introduce our new Tai Chi classes, Strong by Zumba, and Paddle Boarding Lessons at the Berkeley Marina.

Registration for our 2018 Summer Camps began January 17th. Your children will thank you for signing them up for Skyhawks Mini-Hawks Sports Camps, BmuZ Music Camps, Cartooning Camps, Berkeley Day Camp and cool technology camps like Freshi: I Made a Video Game!  Check out our Activity Guide to see our full list.
