At the Green Home Workshop on Tuesday October 17, homeowners will:

  • Learn about the benefits of an energy efficient home
  • Find out about incentives of up to $5,500 through the Energy Upgrade California program
  • Meet with participating contractors who maximize energy savings and improve comfort, health and safety
  • Hear about different options for financing energy efficiency improvements

Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Energy Upgrade California is offered through the Bay Area Regional Network (BayREN) and is funded by ratepayer dollars. The program provides up to $5,500 in rebates for home improvement projects that can save energy, reduce greenhouse gases, lower utility bills, improve indoor air quality, and make homes more comfortable.  The program covers a wide range of improvements, such as air sealing and duct sealing,  window replacement, insulation and high-efficiency appliances.

The workshop is being put on in collaboration with the cities of Albany and El Cerrito, in coordination with StopWaste.

The City of Berkeley encourages participation in Energy Upgrade California as part of our climate action plan efforts to both reduce emissions and stimulate the local economy.
