PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

POLICE RELEASE NAMES OF CIVIC CENTER PARK ARRESTEES

Berkeley, California (Monday, April 17, 2017) - Berkeley Police have released the names and charges of those arrested for their roles in violence at Civic Center Park on April 15 as police work to identify and arrest anyone involved in crimes on that day.

Charges include assault with a deadly weapon, battery, and committing a criminal offense while wearing a mask.

Video footage of March 4 events helped lead to arrest warrants, and police located and arrested one individual on April 15 for that outstanding warrant. Police will be reviewing social media video footage to identify and arrest anyone involved in crimes on Saturday.

Berkeley Police are asking for your videos and photographs of those who may have committed criminal acts during the event.  Those images can be uploaded using any web-enabled device at: http://bit.ly/berkvideo.
