Berkeley, California (Saturday, February 13, 2010) - On Thursday, February 11, 2010 at approximately 7:40 p.m., the Berkeley Police Department (BPD) responded to a stabbing which had just occurred on the 2100 block of Curtis Street.  Patrol Officers found the victim, a black male adult, in the area of Allston Way and Curtis Street with a stab wound to his chest.  The victim was rushed by the Berkeley Fire Department Paramedics to the Alameda County Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Alvarado, a known member of the West Side Berkeley gang, is wanted for Murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.  

Berkeley Homicide Detectives believe Alvarado will attempt to flee the country and are asking for the community’s help in catching him.
