Taffic in the area of the Berkeley Marina may be subject to heavy delays over the weekend

Berkeley, California (Monday, July 20, 2009) - Please be advised that traffic in the area of the Berkeley Marina may be subject to heavy delays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26 for the Berkeley Kite Festival.

For police and fire safety reasons, parking is prohibited along either sides of major roads in the Marina, including University Ave., Marina Blvd, and Spinnaker Way. Vehicle access will also be restricted on Marina Blvd. and Spinnaker Way. Vehicles parked illegally or on unpaved surfaces damage our park and wildlife. Illegally parked vehicles will be cited and subject to tow at the owner’s expense.

If you are a Berkeley Marina berther, or a restaurant employee or guest, there will be a limited number of spaces reserved for regular Marina activities.

For more information, including a list and a map of parking options, please download this flyer here. If you are a Marina berther, restaurant, guest or employee, download this flyer.
