Berkeley, California (Monday, March 13, 2006) - March is Arts Education Month. During the month of March, youth artwork will be on display at the Berkeley Public Library. The exhibition will showcase talented young artists in grades K-8 from the Berkeley Unified School District. Come see drawings, paintings and sculpture in the 4th floor Children's Library and Story room at the Central Library, 2090 Kittredge Street in Downtown Berkeley. This exhibition is a collaborative effort between Berkeley Unified School District, the Berkeley Civic Arts Program, Art IS Education, and the Berkeley Public Library.

Arts Education Month is a Citywide celebration of youth arts. Exhibitions of Berkeley Unified School District student work will also be on display in all of the elementary and middle schools, in the Berkeley Unified School District office building at 2134 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, and at the Berkeley Art Center, at 1275 Walnut St, as part of their Youth Arts Festival.
