Regional Organizations

The City of Berkeley works with regional partners that support local businesses including the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA) and Bay Area Organization of Black Owned Businesses (BAOBOB). 

East Bay Economic Development Alliance

The East Bay Economic Development Alliance (East Bay EDA) is a public/private partnership serving the San Francisco East Bay (Alameda and Contra Costa Counties). Its mission is to establish the East Bay as a world-recognized location to grow businesses, attract capital and create quality jobs. East Bay EDA logo

The East Bay EDA is the regional voice and networking resource for strengthening the economy, building the workforce and enhancing the quality of life in the East Bay.

Bay Area Organization of Black Owned Businesses 

The Bay Area Organization of Black Owned Businesses (BAOBOB) is a membership organization committed to connecting, promoting, informing and representing Black owned and led businesses and non-profits throughout the Bay Area. BAOBOB is a program of Cowrie Village, an organization committed to working for the economic empowerment of Black people, their offspring and their allies in the inner city.
