A Guide to Using Submittable
Our Online Application Manager
Hello prospective applicants! This guide will walk you through our new online application process, which is run through the website Submittable.
To apply using Submittable:
GRANT-SPECIFIC ONLINE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
To get to the online grant application, go to
the Civic Art Program website and click on the Civic Arts Grants link to go to
the grants page.
Click on the appropriate “Apply Now” link for
the specific grant category for which you wish to apply. Please note that there
are seven categories:

You will then be taken to the specific
application form on our grant application site for the category you selected.
The application form is hosted by Submittable (our online application manager).
At the top of the page, you will see a short
introduction section for that category, reiterating eligibility, maximum grant award
amounts, and providing links for the full grant guidelines and the budget form
that you will need to fill out and upload later.
But first, below the introduction text, you
will see the words “CREATE YOUR USER ACCOUNT.” Complete this short form by
entering the requested information into the boxes and press the button at the
bottom labeled “Create Account and Continue.” All applicants must create an
account in order to submit an application. Be sure to register with an email
address you frequently check, since you will receive email notifications about
the status of your application.
After clicking “Create Account and Continue” you
will be directed back to the introduction text. Scroll down—now the application
form will be visible below. On the left side you can upload the required
documents by clicking on the “Browse” button and selecting a file from your
computer. The right side has corresponding directions for what each document
should be included, as well as character count requirements.
For the budget section, we require that each
applicant fill out and upload the provided budget form required for that
category (see below). You can download the forms from the Civic Arts Grant
website.

not be able to edit your application once you have clicked “Submit.” You will
