The Cube Space street view

CUBE SPACE                                                                                                                              Located on the ground floor of the Center Street Garage on Addison Street near Milvia Street in the heart of the arts district in Downtown Berkeley, the Cube Space occupies a small store front which is approximately 17’ by 12’ wide with 10’ high ceilings. This exhibition venue is not a traditional gallery space where viewers enter the space. Instead the artwork is viewed through the glass walls that make up the three sides of the gallery. It features two-month long exhibitions of works by Bay Area emerging and mid-career artists working in video, multi-media and sculpture to create installations which are viewable at all hours, every day of the week. The Cube Space is a highly visible symbol of the City’s support and promotion of art in civic life.                                                                   Information on current exhibition

The artwork is displayed throughout the building on all six floors. This annual exhibition offers visitors to the Civic Center building an opportunity to see the diversity and richness of the visual arts being produced by artists of all ages and stages in their artistic careers who either live or work in Berkeley.                                                                                                                                                 Information on the current Civic Center Exhibition
