GRANT GUIDELINES
The grant guidelines change at the beginning
of every grant cycle. Please see the new guidelines for each of the three
categories below.
ARTS ORGANIZATIONS
Arts Organization Grants provide general operating support for a wide
array of nonprofit arts organizations and arts programs of service nonprofits
throughout Berkeley. New This Year! Civic Arts Grants for Arts
Organizations are now operating on a two-year grant cycle of FY22
(July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022) and FY23 (July 1, 2022 - June 30,

INDIVIDUAL ARTIST PROJECTS
Individual Artist Project Grants support individual artists living and producing art in Berkeley culminating in a local public presentation of their work for the benefit of the community within the grant period. Grant funded projects may include: dance, music, theater, visual arts, social practice, media arts, film, and literary projects. FESTIVALS
Festival Grants support community festivals and special events throughout the City of Berkeley from small-scale and first-time events to large scale and established festivals. Please review the full grants guidelines: FY22 Festival Grant Guidelines
Final Reports
For Fiscal Year 2019-2020 please access your final report by logging into your Submittable account. The Final Report form is an additional form attached to your FY20 Civic Arts Grant Application.
VENDOR FORMSIf awarded funding, first time grantees must submit the following forms to be established as payees within the City of Berkeley’s financial system. You are not required to submit these forms until you are notified of your grant award.
