PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Current Election 

City Offices to be elected at the November 8, 2022 General Election:

Auditor (at-large)
Council Districts 1, 4, 7, and 8
Rent Board 5 seats (at-large)
School Board 3 seats (at-large)

All terms of office are for the period December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2026.
Election to the office of Auditor and City Council requires a 50% + 1 majority vote threshold.
Rent Board and School Board winners are determined by plurality vote.
