Budget Committee


On December 19, 2017, the Berkeley City Council established a standing committee on the City's Budget, and was given the following duties:

  • Defining specific goals and develop a 1 Year and multi-year plan
  • Identifying possible income sources
  • Reviewing best practices
  • Aligning priorities to programs and expenditures
  • Ensuring equity
  • Improving the reallocation process
  • Developing templates to identify major budget impacts and on-going requests
The Committee is comprised of Mayor Jesse Arreguin, Councilmember Kate Harrison, Councilmember Sophie Hahn, and Councilmember Susan Wengraf.

**The next meeting of the Budget Committee is scheduled for Friday, June 15th at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Redwood Room, 6th Floor, 2180 Milvia Street. Meeting materials will be posted to this webpage as they become available.**
