PG&E is reporting a widespread outage affecting thousands of customers in Berkeley and many City buildings, including the Finance Customer Service Center and the Permit Service Center. Call respective City services for further details, or check the PG&E outage page. Power is expected to return by 12:45pm. Traffic lights that are not working should be treated as a four-way stop sign.

Climate Emergency ImageAd-Hoc Sub-Committee on Climate Emergency Declaration


On June 12, 2018, the Berkeley City Council adopted a Climate Emergency Declaration and established an Ad-Hoc Sub-Committee on the Climate Emergency Declaration. The Subcommittee is charged with the integration of prevention, mitigation and adaptation efforts in response to climate change across the City of Berkeley departments, programs and commission and to coordinate a regional Climate Emergency Mobilization Town Hall. The subcommittee is comprised of Councilmembers Cheryl Davila, Kate Harrison, and Sophie Hahn.
