True Costs -- The Complete Cycle     

    We generally don't think about how our everyday purchases affect the world, or that we have any impact at all beyond our personal lives for so many routine actions.  

   When you purchase something, you also own the packaging and the product for life; something most people don't think about.

   Here's a quick look at a few things we do,  buy, or throw away, and all the related impacts.

So, what does it cost to...

1. Operate a 100-watt light bulb for a day?

2. Dispose of a cell phone?

3. Drive a vehicle that gets 17 miles per gallon?

4. Clean out a storm drain?

5. Take up smoking?

6. Dispose of a plastic bag?

Make sustainable living your goal, and make it the “norm” for you and your family.  Here are some simple things you can do that will slow the consumption of resources and help make the world a more equitable place for everyone, including the children of the future.
